I never really thought I would find a web designer like Steve: someone with vast knowledge of the technical aspects of designing a website, plus a superior mastery of digital photography software, coupled with a patient, easy going personality, excellent communication skills, a great sense of humor, and a commitment to giving the client just what he or she wants. Steve listened carefully to everything I said, offered some suggestions of his own, and then he took my less than precise ideas and made them into a tangible design that somehow encapsulated what I wanted but is so much more. Thank you Steve. I am simply thrilled with my website, and with my experience of working with you.

I knew from my first meeting with Steve Ford that working with him would be a pleasure. A few days before we met, I sent him a list of websites I liked, none of them exactly what I had in mind for mine. Our work together began with him offering his analysis of the various sites, not only from the standpoint of appearance, but also with regard to navigation, and the underlying code. He has such a depth of knowledge about software and an equally strong ability to convey that technical information in layman’s terms. By the time we ended our first meeting, I had a clear idea of how I wanted my site to appear and the confidence that Steve would make it function smoothly. Though I’d assumed a slide show would be too complicated for my simple site, he encouraged me to include it. I’m so glad he did.

I had high quality images to start with (essential!) and Steve was able to resize and refine them in Photoshop to show them at their best on the computer screen. He offered me his advice, always in a tactful way, when I submitted content to him and kept me updated as he added pages. He always welcomed my suggestions and revisions (which, frankly, were few). My website was a true collaborative effort and I can’t recommend Steve highly enough.
